Each check is a plain-text contract you own and edit. The CLI runs a deterministic first pass; the contract records the judgement a machine cannot make. All six, together, are the Six-Part Release Receipt.

Questions

Why isn't a passing test suite enough?: An agent optimises for the signal it is given. Tell it to make the tests pass and it will — sometimes by writing tests that cannot fail. Green proves the suite is green, not that the change is correct, in scope, safe, or reversible. The six checks are the difference.
Does it send my code anywhere?: No. The CLI reads your git working tree and runs entirely locally. It makes no network requests: no account, no upload, no telemetry. This is deliberately not a cloud reviewer.
How is it delivered?: After Stripe confirms the exact live payment, nyk.dev opens the private v1.0.0 ZIP and emails the same recovery link. If checkout is unavailable the page falls back to an email alert and cannot take payment.
What does a green receipt actually promise?: That the six checks ran and their outcome. It is a record, not a warranty: it does not make a change correct. The judgement stays yours — the kit makes the machine-checkable half automatic and gives the human half a checklist and a record.
